GLASSBORO, NJ - A Sunday evening house fire in Glassboro near Rowan University is currently under investigation by county fire officials, authorities said.

On Sunday evening, officials from Glassboro Fire Department’s Taskforce 26 were dispatched to a home on the 300 block of Victoria Street, Glassboro fire officials wrote in a Sunday night statement.

At the scene, officials found the blaze stemming from the back of the structure, fire officials said.

“The fire was brought under control quickly,” the Glassboro Fire Department said, adding that no injuries were reported at the scene. It’s unclear if residents were present at the time of the fire.

According to real estate records, the four-bedroom, 1,410-square-foot home was rented out in February. One real estate listing touts the abode as a “great place for Rowan Students” due to its proximity to campus, though it’s unclear whether students were renting the home at the time of the fire.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office.
