Katie Gray, 2010 Triton Grad, Winning Honors at E. Carolina University
Academics and athletics are a winning combination.

Katie Gray, a 2010 Triton Regional High School graduate from Gloucester Township, was recently awarded the Gay Blocker scholarship at East Carolina University. It is given to a physical-education major who has the highest grade point average in Kinesiology as well as outstanding scholarship, leadership in the profession, and promise for outstanding service to the profession.
Gray, who was an All South Jersey pole vaulter in 2010, has been a three-year member of ECU's division I track team as a pole vaulter. She has been named to the athletic directors dean's list, the university dean's list and the Conference USA honor roll all three years. She was also awarded athletic academic success awards her sophomore and junior years which are given to athletes who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above. Â
In addition to academics and athletics, Gray has been involved in the Special Olympics as a coach and volunteer. She has volunteered in the Greenville, NC schools adaptive PE classes, the food bank and local animal shelter. Â
