Letter to the Editor: Legislators Tout NJ Tourism Opportunities
Assemblyman Milam and Assemblywoman Riley urge you to take advantage of New Jersey's beaches, historic sites and other attractions.

Dear Editor:
Families everywhere are looking these days to save money, and fortunately right here in New Jersey families have many alternatives close to home to help accomplish that smart goal this summer.
The options are limitless, whether it’s our beautiful state parks, historic sites, award-winning beaches or a trip to Atlantic City. I urge every New Jerseyan to take some time this summer to visit our state’s many wonderful attractions.

For instance, there’s Atlantic City. It’s of course famous for its world-class gaming and casino attractions, but it offers much more.
Just this year, as a component of reinvestment efforts, it’s added Boardwalk Ambassadors who help answer questions and guide visitors along during their stay.

There’s the great Atlantic City Airshow on Aug. 17 and free beaches and free jazz concerts on Thursday nights. And of course there’s the great shopping. If you become adventuresome, take a sight-seeing cruise or climb New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse, the Abesecon Lighthouse.
New Jersey has plenty of affordable summer fun for all families from High Point to Cape May and I urge everyone to take advantage this year. Building memories and saving money at the same time is, after all, always a good thing.

Chairman, Assembly Tourism and the Arts Committee
Assemblywoman Celeste Riley (D-3)
Vice Chairwoman, Assembly Tourism and the Arts Committee
