Man Dies In 2-Vehicle Crash In Gloucester Township

One of the dump truck's occupants pushed another truck occupant out of the way moments before the crash occurred, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man from Gloucester County died as a result of a car crash on Tuesday evening in Gloucester Township, police said.

Frank W. Cavender IV, 34, of Glassboro, was killed when his car rear-ended a garbage truck in the 900 block of Johnson Road, according to police.

One of the garbage truck's occupants pushed another of the truck's occupants out of the car's way moments before the crash occurred, police said.

Those two people and truck's driver were not hurt, police said.

The investigation into the crash continued as of Wednesday morning, according to police.
