New Family Resource Center Looks to Take Bite Out of Crime

Gloucester Township police will open a new family resource center aimed at addressing root causes of disputes before they start.

Gloucester Township police are set to open a new family resource center this week  as part of a local crime-prevention initiative.

GT VISION (Gloucester Township Violence In Society Initiative Operational Network) harnesses the power of an entire community in addressing and preventing crime, according to a news release. GT VISION is the police and community umbrella program which offers both proactive policing and long term reduction measures in combating drug use and family issues and its effects on crime. The center, at 1324 Little Gloucester Road, will be staffed with a licensed social worker.

Officials will hold a grand opening 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
