Police Seek Leads In Deadly Camden Shooting

Police said the 46-year-old victim was slain on Saturday in an apartment.

CAMDEN, NJ — Authorities in Camden are calling on the public to help solve the deadly shooting of a man killed in an apartment.

In a news release, Camden police said the victim, 46-year-0ld Darrell Matthews, was shot and killed in an apartment in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street around 8 p.m.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
