Township Pool Registration Opens

The Gloucester Township Pool won't open for the summer season for a few more weeks still, but registration begins today.

Last year marked the first time in about 15 years the Recreation Department had to close enrollment for the municipal pool due to high turnout, according to recreation co-director Diane Jones, so get signed up as soon as possible.

To register for the 2012 pool season, go to the Recreation Center on Broadacres Drive between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Family memberships will cost $250, individual memberships $130, family weekend-only memberships $190, individual weekend-only memberships $100 and non-peak family memberships $160.

Tuesday also marks the opening of registration for the township's various adult and youth summer recreation programs—not including the six-week summer camp programs.

Registration for the township's 2012-13 pre-K program will open on Tuesday, May 7. Jones indicated it is expected the morning session will fill quickly.
