Whiz Kids: This Week's Helps a Boy in Need

• Whiz Kid's Name - Morgan Wolfson

• Whiz Kid's Age - 9

• Whiz Kid's School - Third-grader and straight "A" student at Chews Elementary

• Whiz Kid's Accomplishment - Morgan has been raising money for Nickels for Nico (a fund set up to aid in the medical care and related expenses of 3-year-old Gloucester Township resident Nico Cassabria, who has cancer). Nico is the younger brother of a classmate of Morgan's brother, a student at Blackwood Elementary. He has stage 4 Neuroblastoma. When a letter from school came home requesting families send in pocket change as a donation, Morgan decided that rather than just donate spare change to Nickels for Nico, she would raise more money. Her idea? Taking "donations" in exchange for pieces of original artwork that she had drawn. She has already given several pieces away for donations ranging from pocket change to $10. Morgan is continuing to ask for donations in exchange for a piece of her artwork throughout the month of February. Send an e-mail to michellewolfson1@yahoo.com, if interested.

• Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness - Morgan's philanthropic nature has been evident since preschool. Always one to donate her toys, rather than throw them away, she is always looking to help out others. This past Christmas, she worked to donate toys, books, clothes and food to 10 families from her school's "Giving Tree" program.
