Woman Left Dog To Die In Trash Bag Placed In Camden Co. Dumpster: Police
The dog was severely malnourished and suffering from multiple injuries when it was found, authorities said.
LINDENWOLD, NJ — A Lindenwold woman was arrested Tuesday after authorities say she abandoned a live dog in a trash bag two months ago.
A small, white dog was found March 9 in a trash bag inside a dumpster at the Belmont Apartments on the White Horse Pike, according to Lindenwold Police.
The animals was still alive, but it was severely malnourished and had multiple severe injuries, police said.

A local animal shelter facilitated the dog's recovery. It is in good health and has since been adopted, police said.
Last week, Lindenwold police asked the public to help them identify a person of interest who was captured in surveillance footage. The public's assistance helped them identify Turquoise Martin as a suspect.

Martin, 38, was charged with animal cruelty and abandoning a domestic animal. She was placed in the Camden County Correctional Facility, where she will stay detained pending the results of a future court appearance.
Attorney information for Martin wasn't available in online court records on Tuesday morning.
