Woman Intentionally Drove Car Into Crowd Of Teenagers After Fight: Police

The teen victims, all between the ages of 13 and 16, were not involved in the fight that took place moments before, police said.

GLASSBORO, NJ — A fight at a South Jersey apartment complex escalated Monday night after a woman intentionally hit three teenage girls with her car, police said.

The incident took place at around 4:28 p.m. at the Hollybush Apartment Complex on Ruth Avenue in Glassboro, police said. There was a "large fight" outside the complex which officers were responding to. A Salem County woman who was involved in the fight got into her car and started to drive off, police said.

The woman, identified as 20-year-old Mikayla Rodriguez-Green, "intentionally drove towards" a crowd of juveniles. She went over the curb and hit three teenage girls, Glassboro Police said.

The girls, aged 13, 15, and 16, had non-life threatening injuries, police said. They were not involved in the fight, police added.

Police said Green, of Pilesgrove, then tried to flee the apartment complex, but officers stopped her and arrested her.

Glassboro Police charged Green with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and related motor vehicle violations.

She is in custody at the Salem County Jail pending a detention hearing, police said.
