C-SPAN Bus to Visit Centenary College
Outreach and education are among the things the C-SPAN Bus tour staff bring with them.

Each fall the C-SPAN Bus goes back to school on a tour of colleges and universities throughout the country. This year their tour will include a stop at Centenary College on Sept. 19.
According to a press release from C-SPAN, students at Centenary and residents of Hackettstown will have the chance to step aboard the bus and learn about C-SPAN's various programs and resources, including the student documentary contest StudentCam and the new feature series First Ladies.
The theme for this year's StudentCam documentary competition is "A Message to the U.S. Congress: What's the most important issue the Congress should consider in 2014?" A total of 150 student prizes will be given, including a total of $100,000 in prize money.
"The C-SPAN Bus is now in its 20th year on the road and has a fresh new look," the press statement reads. "It is visiting numerous cities, schools and universities across the country, promoting C-SPAN’s educational and political resources for students, teachers and community members along the way."
