DNA Helps Break Warren County’s ‘Tiger Lady’ Case

WARREN COUNTY, NJ - She’s been a part of Warren County’s “cold case” file for over 30 years, a young woman found dead in Knowlton with with a tiger tattoo on her leg.

On Friday, Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer is expecting to make a “major announcement in the investigation,” according to Lehigh Valley Live, with the woman known as “Tiger Lady” found to be a “missing teen from Coatesville, Pennsylvania.”

Pfeiffer is planning on a news conference with the New Jersey State Police Cold Case Unit, the publication reports, at the Goodwill Fire Company, along with the State Police of Forensic Sciences, Center for Human Identification, BODE Technologies and Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the unidentified girl was found in a wooded area of Knowlton off of Route 94 by Route 80 on Oct. 26, 1991 and was estimated to be between 17 and 19 years old.

Pfeiffer has vowed to use DNA evidence to help make breaks in cold cases, with “Princess Doe,” a young woman who was found dead on July 15, 1982 in Blairstown’s Cedar Ridge Cemetery, another one he hopes to find answers for.
