Hackettstown Beats Shabazz in First Round of State Baseball Tourney
Tigers will move on to face Lyndhurst in second round of NJSIAA tournament.

The Hackettstown High School boys baseball team is moving on to the second round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 tournament after defeating Shabazz High School of Newark 12-4 Monday, according to NJ.com.
Hackettstown, seeded 8, will now move on in the tournament to face No. 1-seeded Lyndhurst in the second round on Friday.
The Tigers' win came after Owen Gavin had five strong innings, allowing four runs on three hits, eight strikeouts and three walks, NJ.com reported.
