Hackettstown Event Honors Veterans At Upcoming Ceremony

The event on Veterans Day starts at 9:45 a.m. at the American Legion, with a keynote speaker from Picatinny Arsenal.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Members of American Legion Blue Ridge Post #164 and from the community can come to honor the nation’s veterans at a special ceremony, this coming Thursday morning.

The event, hosted by the American Legion, is happening at the Legion’s Main Hall on 450 Willow Grove Street, beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Veterans Day. Attendees coming who have disabilities may use the lift at the rear entrance to come into the main hall, which is upstairs, according to information from Post #164.

The Legion Service starts at 10:10 a.m., with a guest speaker from Picatinny Arsenal, participating in the ceremonies, said Joe Linskey of Post #164.

The event is expected to wind down at 11 a.m. with the “Bells of Peace” and a wreath-laying, with refreshments additionally available during the event.
