Hackettstown Police Help Raise $1K For Special Olympics
Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local members participated in the annual torch run.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - Earlier this month officers from the Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local participated in the annual NJ Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, raising $1,000 to donate to the cause.
Statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey has been recognized around the world for many years as one of the top grassroots fundraising organizations for Special Olympics. Through year-round fundraising events, the LETR has raised more than $3 million annually, hitting a record high of $4.1 million in 2018.
In addition to fundraising, the Law Enforcement officers volunteer at athlete competitions and events year-round, serving as ambassadors in local communities, officials said.
