Hackettstown Teen Punched in Dispute, Police Say
Two 18-year-olds charged in Tuesday incident in the area of Monroe and West Plane streets.
Two 18-year-olds have been charged for an altercation with another teen Tuesday in the area of Monroe and West Plane streets, Hackettstown Police said.
According to Sgt. Darren Tynan, Mazen Alnaser, 18, Independence, confronted a 16-year-old Hackettstown boy over a prior incident while he was walking in the area of Monroe and West Plane streets on Tuesday.
Alnaser got into a verbal dispute with the 16-year-old, Tynan said. Vladimir De La Cruz, 18, of Mansfield, who was with Alnaser, the punched the 16-year-old in the chin, Tynan said.
Alnaser was charged with disorderly conduct and De La Cruz was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault.
Both were released pending a court appearance.
