Heavy Rains, Possible Ice Dam Flooding This Weekend
As much as 2 inches of rain, warming temperatures and frozen ground may cause local flooding.

A combination of heavy rainfall, frozen ground, and ice clogged rivers may make Saturday and Sunday a bad weather event in Hackettstown.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) via the Hackettstown Police Department has issued a flooding alert for the area.
Warm temperatures along with as much as 2 inches of rain on Saturday may cause water runoff, since the frozen ground is unable to absorb the water, NOAA's alert said.
The rain and melting ice may cause significant local flooding. Moderate to major river flooding is also a possibility due to ice jams, NOAA said. Wind gusts are also expected with this storm system.
Hackettstown residents should monitor the town police Facebook page for updates.
