‘Hometown Holiday’ Happening In Hackettstown Starting Friday
From music to a parade to a tree lighting to carriage rides to shopping to selfies with Santa, there's something for everyone this weekend.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — It’s a “Hometown Holiday” celebration in Hackettstown beginning on Friday, with fun for everyone of every age.
It all kicks off on Friday afternoon, Dec. 3, with Santa’s “Shop Small Celebration” from noon until 3 p.m. at the Hackettstown Community Center, 292 Main Street, with face painting, snacks, craft making, music and holiday characters.

The fun continues on Friday night with festivities throughout town beginning at 5 p.m. Among the happenings:
5 p.m. - Music and treats at Centenary University’s Seay Building
5 p.m. - Hackettstown Middle School’s “Tiger Tunes” at the Gazebo
5 - 8 p.m. - Refreshments at the Hackettstown Historical Society Open House on 106 Church Street.
5 - 9 p.m. - Carriage Rides starting at the firehouse.
5:15 p.m. - “Grand Illumination” of the Seay Building
5:30 p.m. - Centenary University’s “Cyctones” A Capella Choir at the Gazebo.
6 - 9 p.m. - Holiday Bazaar with food and shopping tent, featuring local Hackettstown Business Improvement District businesses.
6 - 7 p.m. - Faith Center for the Arts A Capella Choir at the Holiday Bazaar Tent
6:15 - 7 p.m. - Hackettstown Community Band on 193 Main Street
6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Colonia Musketeers Senior Corps at Home Towne Hardware
7:00 to 7:30 p.m. - The Santa Parade starts on Main Street then heads to Plane and Moore Streets
7:30 p.m. - Tree lighting on Main and Moore Streets at the Gazebo
7:45 - 9 p.m. - Santa Selfies and hot chocolate with the Kiwanis at the Moore Street Firehouse
7:45 - 8:30 p.m. - Hackettstown High School Band at Moore Street by Stella G’s.
8 p.m. - Centenary Stage presents “A Christmas Carol” at Centenary University’s Lackland Center on 715 Grand Avenue.

Then on Saturday Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5 from noon until 5 p.m., enjoy “Shop Small” events throughout the weekend, with music, candy giveaways, tree lightings and more.
