Knife-Wielding Woman Assaulted Victim Over Car Dispute: Cops
Police found alleged perpetrator walking on East Avenue between Hackettstown and Washington Twp., police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Intense moments ended with a knife-wielding woman in handcuffs on the border of Hackettstown and Washington Township Wednesday, police said.
Just after 7 p.m. June 1, Hackettstown police responded to Rivers Edge Garden Apartments for a report of a woman chasing someone with a knife, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.
When officers arrived they found both the victim and alleged perpetrator had left the scene, but officers later located a female on East Avenue fitting the description and holding a knife, Tynan said.

Officers commanded the woman to drop the knife, which she did, and was placed into custody.
The woman, identified as Shoshauna Smith, 22, of Hackettstown, allegedly had an argument with the victim over who was going to use a vehicle, Tynan said.

Smith was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
Smith was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail.
