HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A pedestrian has lifted a yellow M&Ms candy character from the sidewalk in front of a Hackettstown candy shop and police are distributing a video of the incident.

The Hackettstown Police Department asked for help in identifying a suspect they said is wanted for theft.

The man was walking eastbound on Main Street on Saturday, around 1 a.m. A video released by police shows the M&M character standing in front of Tracy's Candy Shoppe, 210 Main St., as a man approaches, picks up the object, and keeps walking eastbound, M&M in hand.
