Warren County Man Fatally Shot On Paterson Road: Prosecutor
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has identified a man fatally shot in Paterson as Rodney Phelps, 39, from Washington Township.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Washington Township man was killed in Paterson on Friday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Rodney Phelps, 39, from Warren County’s Washington Township was identified as the man killed, Senior Assistant Prosecutor Jorge Morales confirmed to Patch in a phone interview.
Paterson police were called to Van Houten Street on Friday at 11:20 p.m. for gunfire. When officers arrived they found Phelps "lying on the roadway" with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, according to a news release from Morales.

Medical personnel arrived and Phelps was pronounced dead at the scene, Morales said.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released once it becomes available.
