Man Who Shot Up A North Jersey Home Gets Sentenced
The sentencing comes months after the 20-year-old was found in Pennsylvania after the shooting.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Warren County man who shot up a residence in Phillipsburg, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Friday, Andrew R. Weaver, 20, of Phillipsburg, was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.
On Aug. 3, around 3:30 a.m., Phillipsburg police responded to the 400 block of Anderson Street after being alerted of shots being fired in the area.

Police found that a suspect, later identified as Weaver, had fired several shots into a residence in the area, one of which penetrated a window, according to officials. There were no injuries reported.
An investigation led police to believe that Weaver was the shooter. He was criminally charged and entered as a wanted person in the National Crime Information Center database.

Weaver was arrested around 12 hours later after Pennsylvania State Police pulled over a car he was riding passenger in.
Police found a Glock 9mm handgun in the vehicle, suspected to be the weapon used in the shooting, officials said.
Weaver was initially charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief, but half of the charges have been dropped since.
Weaver must serve 85 percent of his seven-year sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
