Meet A Future Leader In Hackettstown: Aveena Khanderia
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Hackettstown is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Aveena Khanderia, who are making a positive impact in and around Hackettstown.
Aveena, a Hackettstown native and Mount Olive High School graduate, has distinguished herself as a dedicated scholar and emerging leader in healthcare policy. In 2022, she was one of 1,000 high school seniors nationwide to earn a corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship, from a trust established by the estate of Mary E. Beyerle.
Now an Honors student at the University of North Carolina, Aveena is pursuing studies in Economics, Business, and Health Policy & Management, aligning her academic path with her passion for transforming healthcare systems. In September 2024, she began working as a Strategy Consultant Intern at Olea Health, a company dedicated to improving health education and access in low-income countries.
