St. Patrick's Day Parade Closes Roads, Causes Parking Restrictions
Sixth annual event will close a number of roads and prohibit parking on others Sunday afternoon.
The sixth annual St. Patrick's Day parade will close a portion of Main Street and pose parking restrictions Sunday afternoon, Hackettstown Police said.
Main Street will be closed between Liberty and Warren streets and Mountain Avenue will be closed from Main Street and Victoria Lane at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday. The parade is expected to begin at 3:30 p.m.
Side streets leading to Main Street and Mountain Avenue will also be closed, according to police. Officers will be in the area directing traffic around the road closures.
Parking will be prohibited on these streets starting at 2 p.m. Sunday:
- Main Street between Grand Avenue and Warren Street
- Washington Street between Grand Avenue and Valentine Street
- Valentine Street between Main Street and Beatty Street
- Washington Street between Warren Street and Bells Lane
- Victoria Lane between Mountain Avenue and Mitchell Road
- Bells Lane between Mountain Avenue and Washington Street
