Street Fair Will Shut Down Main Street Sunday

Parking will be limited on surrounding streets.

Hackettstown's annual street fair is coming to town this week and local police are warning motorists that Main Street will be closed from High Street to East Plane Street on Sunday.

The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan. Police officers will be in the area directing traffic.

The street fair and craft show will be happening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In its seventh year, the fair will feature live music, clowns, a mime, inflatable rides and games.

With the traffic restrictions, parking will also be limited in some areas. Police will be asking motorists not to park on the following streets:

  • Main Street from High Street to West Plane Street
  • West Plane Street from Washington Street to Main Street
  • West Moore Street from Washington Street to Main Street (road will be closed)
  • East Moore Street from Sharp Street to Main Street (road will be closed)

Cars parked in no parking zone will be ticketed or towed.
