Woman Files Lawsuit Against Warren County Correctional Center: Report
A woman alleged in court papers that correctional officers assaulted her and refused her call for medical attention, a report says.
NEW JERSEY– Karen Maciunski, 58, has filed a lawsuit against the Warren County Correctional Center, claiming that correctional officers restrained her hands behind her back with zip ties and assaulted her, reports say.
The NJ.com report said that she sustained serious injuries and officers refused to call medical help for her.
“As a result of the excessive and unreasonable use of force by defendants upon plaintiff Maciunski, she sustained complete rotator cuff tears to both of her shoulders,” according to the lawsuit NJ.com obtained, which was filed on May 30 in Superior Court of Hunterdon County.
