Haddon Firefighters Block Fire Spread Into Home: Officials

HADDON, NJ - Firefighters in Haddon Township managed to stop a driveway fire from spreading to inside a home Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The fire, which was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m., stemmed from the engine of an SUV parked in a driveway, the Haddon Fire Company said in a statement, posing the danger of extending to the attached residence.

“Thanks to the quick action of the vehicle owner our volunteers were able to extinguish the fire with minimal damage to the house,” fire officials said.

No injuries were reported in connection with the blaze.
