The Bancroft redevelopment project is moving to its next phase after nearly two months of mining opinions from residents. An open house Saturday at the high school was the last of 10 "stakeholder" meetings held in the last two months.
Next, the Trenton firm of Clarke Caton Hintz will present three scenarios for the redevelopment of the 18.7-acre site on Kings Highway East. The Haddonfield Board of Commissioners will then pick one of the three plans to forward to the planning board for approval. This should all happen before the end of June, according to Clarke, Caton, Hintz.

Many residents see the Bancroft site, which has been and still is the the home of an institution for the developmentally disabled, as an oasis in a built-out, nearly 400 year-old town.
