Kings Highway Repaving To Finish Tuesday: Officials

The highway, which is undergoing its first makeover in decades, is set to be completed Tuesday. Here's the latest.

HADDONFIELD, NJ - Kings Highway in Haddonfield received a massive makeover for the first time in decades – and the final touches are slated to take place Tuesday.

Highway repaving is already underway, with road work from Chews Landing Road to the Patco Speedline Bridge and Patco Bridge to Haddon Avenue already scheduled to be done.

The final section of the highway from Haddon Avenue to Evergreen Lane is to be paved Tuesday, Haddonfield police said in a statement.

While Kings Highway is open to traffic during the day, the highway will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday night, police said.

There is also no parking on Kings Highway on Tuesday, police added.

The estimated $1 million paving project began on Oct. 17.

“This work will greatly increase road conditions and efficiency for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists,” said Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “If you need to travel through these areas during work hours, remember to slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
