Gomez Wins Hillsborough Township Committee Race: 2025 Election Results Certified

The Somerset County Clerk certified the election results on Wednesday. Here's who won and by how many votes:

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — It's a wrap for the 2025 election in Somerset County.

On Wednesday, the Somerset County Clerk's Office confirmed that the results from the general election had been certified following Election Day, which took place on Nov. 4.

Hillsborough voters cast ballots for two local races — the township committee and the board of education.

Hillsborough Township Committee:

Democrat Jill Gomez has won over Republican incumbent John Ciccarelli.

Here are the final vote tallies:

  • John Ciccarelli - Republican - 8,378
  • Jill Gomez - Democrat - 10,193

Hillsborough Board Of Education:

On the school board front, Marc Ehrenkrantz, Joel Davis, and Jean Trujillo have won over N. Jannah Hameed, Danny Lee, and John Fluet.

  • Marc Ehrenkrantz - 7,919
  • Joel Davis - 7,366
  • Jean Trujillo - 6,769
  • N. Jannah Hameed - 5,937
  • Danny Lee - 4,676
  • John Fluet - 4,550

Additionally, voters also weighed in on County races.

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:

  • Melonie Marano - Democrat* - 78,664
  • Nick Cuozzo - Republican - 56,268

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:

  • Michelle Mayorga - Republican - 55,359
  • Elizabeth Graner - Democrat - 78,517

Somerset County Sheriff:

  • Darrin Russo - Democrat* - 80,547
  • Michael Manochio - Republican - 54,872

Somerset County Surrogate:

  • Bernice "Tina" Jalloh - Democrat* - 78,048
  • Chris Corsini - Republican - 55,814
