5K Run/Walk in Hillsborough to Benefit GiGi's Playhouse, Oct 4

The 2nd annual HRC Fitness Charity 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Funds raised with this event will support the newly opened location of GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough, Down Syndrome Achievement Center, located in the Town Centre II plaza. The day’s events will also include a Dash for Down syndrome and Fall Festival at 12 noon.

GiGi’s Playhouse and HRC Fitness are honored to have the Hillsborough Rotary as our 2015 Diamond Sponsor. Thanks to over 300 participants of all ages in 2014, along with sponsorships and event donations we raised approximately $10,000 in our first year. We hope to exceed that number in 2015. Following the 5k run and walk GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough will host their second annual Dash for Down syndrome to raise awareness and acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome.

From 12-4pm, HRC Fitness will host a Fall Festival for the racers and the members of the Hillsborough community, which includes games, activities, and blowups for the kids, a haunted studio, food, sweets, fitness demos, and live music by Tastes Like Chicken Band.

• 8 a.m. - 5K Check in
• 9 a.m. - 5K begins
• 9:15 a.m. - Walk begins
• 9:45 a.m. - Awards
• 11:45 a.m. - Dash for Down syndrome Check in
• 12 p.m. – Festival Begins
• 12:15 p.m. - Dash for Down Syndrome begins
