Movie's Biggest Fan Hangs Out With Hollywood Stars at Premiere
Grant Gibb enjoyed Tuesday's red carpet premier after proving he's the biggest fan of 'Catching Fire.'
Hillsborough student Grant Gibbs had a bit of a late night Tuesday—he was attending the Los Angeles premiere of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and the cast's after-party after being named the movie's biggest fan.
To win the contest, he had listed his 10 reasons why he should be named the biggest fan for a contest sponsored by Offerpop. His reasons included his Facebook page, "The Hunger Games Memes," as well as his efforts to draw more fans to the books and movies.
As the grand prize winner, Grant received two tickets to the premiere, a $1,000 gift card, and a boxed-set of "The Hunger Games" with Suzanne Collins-signed bookplates—valued at $1,103.97 altogether, but the tickets put Grant ahead of 700 other fans camped out at the premiere to see the sequel.
"The movie was incredible—extremely true to the book," he said.
After the premiere, Grant enjoyed the after-party, where he met stars Amanda Plummer, Isabelle Fuhrman, Willow Shields, Lynn Cohen, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin and Bruno Gunn, as well as director Francis Lawrence.
Although he wasn't able to meet star Jennifer Lawrence, Grant was thrilled to meet so many of the show's actors and crew members.
