Spray Park Closed 'Until Further Notice' At Somerset County's Colonial Park

SOMERSET, NJ — The season opening of Colonial Park Spray Park will be delayed until further notice due to electrical issues.

The spray park had initially been set to open on Monday, June 26.

"Staff is working to rectify the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience," wrote the Somerset County Park Commission.

The Somerset County spray park continues to encounter issues since it first opened in 2019.

Due to the pandemic, the park had to sit unused through 2020. The 21-unit Spray Park located behind the Morgan Pellowski Playground reopened in 2021 but also hit mechanical issues and remained closed for most of the summer.

The park closed again in July 2022 for mechanical issues. Then closed again at the end of August 2022.
