Environmental Education Center Announces Upcoming Events
Check out some of the upcoming events for kids and families at the Environmental Education Center for the week of June 8 through 14.

The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center has announced a series of events for the week of June 8 through June 14.
The Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs for children and adults as the summer season begins making its way here.

Allendale Celery Farm Wednesday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Adult birders will enjoy a day trip to a freshwater wetland located in urban Bergen County for a day of extraordinary birding. Fee is $50 per adult and $40 per senior. Register online at www.somersetcountyparks.org or call 908-766-2489. Advance payment required.

Delaware and Raritan Canal Paddle Thursday, June 11 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Paddlers will enjoy a relaxing trip along the Canal, enjoying the sights and sounds of this hidden gem of Somerset County. Fee is $60 per person. Register online at www.somersetcountyparks.org or call 908-766-2489. Advance payment required.
Blue “BOBO (Buy One – Bring One) Fridays” bins now are located at the Environmental Education Center and Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge, as well as at the Somerset County Park Commission headquarters at North Branch Park in Bridgewater. The public is invited to drop off canned food or personal care items for donation to Somerset County food banks.
