Firefighters Battle Garage Fire With Numerous Small Explosions In Hillsborough
The first alarm fire happened late on Monday night.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A garage fire with small explosions was reported in Hillsborough on Monday night.
At around 10:24 p.m., the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Fire Departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 34 Falcon Road.
First responders "found a detached garage fully involved in fire with numerous small explosions due to compressed gas," according to Flagtown Fire/Rescue - Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire and contained it tothe garage and one vehicle.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. At this time, the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, said Hillsborough Police Captain Scott W. Mc Carthy.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department in conjunction with the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety.
