Flooding Causes Road Closures, Major Traffic Delays Near Hillsborough
Three major causeways and a bridge are closed today due to flooding, wreaking havoc for local commuters.

Three causeways in Franklin Township are closed today due to flooding, causing major delays for Somerset County commuters.
Blackwells Mills Causeway and Griggstown Causeway are closed this morning due to high floodwaters, according to an alert sent out by Franklin Township police.
The emergency bridge repair of the Amwell Road Causeway is expected to contribute to additional delays, severely impacting traffic in the area on Tuesday.

“If you utilize one of these three causeways for your morning commute plan alternate routes,” Police said. Additionally, motorists in the area should anticipate delays and higher than normal traffic volume.”
Hillsborough Police also reminded residents that Amwell Road is closed at the Millstone Causeway in Franklin. Police added that the closures will cause widespread delays Tuesday, urging commuters to plan accordingly and find alternate routes.
