Free Movie, Open Space Referendum Forum Today in Hillsborough

The library will show "Admission" this afternoon.

Yesterday's rain didn't show up as expected, so forecasters moved it today...we'll make no predictions but don't be surprised if there are some sprinkles.

But precipitation won't interfere with today's events or news on Patch.

You can take in a free movie today at the library, which will be screening "Admission" at 1 p.m. Settle in a watch the romantic comedy about Princeton admissions, with Paul Rudd and Tina Fey.

At 6:30 p.m., the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance will host a forum on the upcoming Open Space referendum, which will ask voters to allow township officials to use money collected by the open space tax for more than buying properties.

The forum is scheduled to include representatives from BoroGreen, the Sourlands Conservancy, and the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, who will discuss the referendum and their views of its implications.

The meeting will be held at the Avalon Assisted Living Center, on Amwell Road.

On Hillsborough Patch, watch for our coverage of a student trip to Turkey, Greece and Rome. The delegation visited historic sites you've heard of, and maybe a few you haven't, enjoying the cultural experience (but not the Turkish delight).
