The Mayors Wellness Campaign highlights the actions NJ towns have taken to make their communities healthier places to live, work, and play.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Township was designated as a "Healthy Town" for 2023 by the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign(MWC). This is the second year in a row the Township earned this title.
"Our Township joined the wellness campaign in 2006 pledging to increase awareness about healthy living," said Mayor Robert Britting Jr. at the April 9 Township Committee meeting. "In 2024 Hillsborough Township remains steadfast in that resolve with even more programs and initiatives, encouraging and focusing on healthy alternatives for both employees in the township and also residents throughout the town."
The township was named a "Healthy Town to Watch" for 2021 and then named a "Healthy Town" for 2022.
