Hillsborough Girl Scout Sells Cookies In All 50 States and Japan

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Junior Girl Scout, Tyne Brogan from Troop 63317, has completed one of her biggest goals so far by selling cookies in all 50 states and Japan.

Tyne began this challenge on Jan. 11 and the sale which completed her map was in the state of North Dakota on Feb. 25.

She first came across this challenge on a social media page and Tyne said "I can do this. It might be tough, but let's try."

Throughout the challenge, Tyne learned some valuable skills and life lessons such as sales techniques, marketing tools, and even some geography.

This experience also taught her about internet safety more specifically how to try and be safe on social media. She saw how quickly things can be shared and how far the internet's reach really is.

As sales came in, Tyne excitedly colored in the different states on her map.

"She truly couldn’t have achieved this goal without our friends and family buying cookies and then sharing her information and cookie link with their family members and friends," said Tyne's mom Kim Brogan.
