Hillsborough Hawks Win Branchburg Tournament
Hillsborough Hawks 8U Travel Baseball Team wins Branchburg "A" Tournament Championship.

The Hillsborough Hawks, an 8U travel baseball team, won their first tournament this week.
Competing this season in the USABL American Central Division and tournaments, the Hawks completed the tournament with a 4-0 record. They finished Pool Play with a 3-0 record outscoring their opponents by a combined 35 runs to 7 over Branchburg, Long Valley and Mt. Olive.

The Hawks perfect record put them into the Championship game to compete against Mt. Olive in a rematch. The Hawks won the Championship game by a final score of 10-1.
The pitching was led by Max Romanok with 2 wins and Brian Quabeck and Cole Hayden chipping in 1 win each. Jack McLaughlin, Alex Reiling and Romanok had 0.00 ERA’s and Romanok led the team with 16 strikeouts.

The offense was led by McLaughlin, Logan Raghunath and Jack Moran who all ended the tournament with Batting Averages over .700. McLaughlin and Jason Roser tied for the team lead in runs, while Moran paced the team in RBI’s. Raghunath and Shailen Patel added 2 stolen bases each and Roberto Santiago, Logan McDermid and Jack Minetti were on base all weekend.
The Hawks will continue their pursuit of a USABL Division Championship before moving onto the rest of their Tournament season.
