Garage Fire Spreads To Shed In Franklin Township
The Franklin Township Fire Prevention Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
FRANKLIN, NJ — A fire that began in a garage spread to a nearby shed in Franklin Township on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, at 4:08 p.m., the Franklin Township Police went to a home on Hamilton Street for a fire.
Officers found an active fire in a detached garage at the rear of the property, which later
spread to a shed on Brookline Avenue, said Franklin Township Acting Public Safety Director Lloyd Fredericks.

Firefighters from East Franklin, Community, Somerset Fire and Rescue, Middlebush, New Brunswick, and North Brunswick fire companies came and extinguished the fire.
Hamilton Street was closed between Hawthorne Drive and Highland Avenue as fire crews worked.

No injuries were reported.
