Hillsborough High School Freshman Is National Geography Bee Champion

The Hillsborough Township Committee presented Siddhu Nagarajan with a proclamation for his accomplishment.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough High School Freshman Siddhu Nagarajan was recently honored for winning the National Geography Bee Championship Junior Varsity Division for 2025.

Mayor John Ciccarelli presented Hillsborough High School Freshman Siddhu with a proclamation in recognition of his accomplishment at the June 24 Township Committee meeting.

Nagarajan also won the National Geography Bee Championship Junior Varsity Division for 2024 and the International Geography Bee Championship Middle School Division for 2024 held in Vienna, Austria.

International Academic Competitions organizes these events and many other competitions for more than 50,000 students in more than 50 countries each school year.

Nagarajan is a member of the Varsity Debate team for the Model UN and Model Congress, and a member of the Academic Team and the Chess Club.

He also volunteers with the North South Foundation.

"The Mayor and Hillsborough Township Committee, do hereby extend our congratulations to Siddhu Nagarajan for winning the National Geography Bee Championship Junior Varsity Division 2025 and we wish him well in all his future endeavors," according to the proclamation.
