Hillsborough Lottery Ticket Worth $40K

While there were no New Jersey winners of the Powerball jackpot or second prize, two lucky New Jersey Lottery players did win the Powerball $10,000 third prize for the Wednesday drawing.

A press release issued by NJ Lottery noted one of those lucky third-prize winners purchased the ticket at Spirit World, and added the Power Play Option, multiplying the winnings to $40,000.

The other winning ticket worth $10,000 was bought in Atlantic County at Quick Stop 1 in Mays Landing.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said the Lottery’s Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become two more of the Lottery’s ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”

In addition to the Garden State’s $40,000 and $10,000 winners, 81,783 other New Jersey players took home $432,061 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Hedinger.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday drawing were: 08, 24, 39, 49, and 59.  
With no top prize winner, the Powerball jackpot will roll to $290,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday at 11 p.m.
