Hillsborough Schools Names New Auten Road Intermediate School Vice Principal

At the August 24, 2015 Hillsborough Board of Education meeting, Scott E. Jensen was unanimously approved as the new Vice Principal at Auten Road Intermediate School. Jensen, currently a 5th grade teacher at Auten Road School, will begin serving the school in his new capacity on September 1, 2015.

Jensen has spent his entire nine year teaching career in Hillsborough at Auten Road Intermediate School as a 5th grade teacher. In addition to his teaching position, he has served as a district Technology Turn-Key Trainer. As a Turn-Key Trainer, he assisted his colleagues by offering trainings and creating teaching aids to help staff members utilize new technologies in the classroom. Jensen has also been an active participant in both school and district level committees.

Jensen graduated Magna Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Sociology. He also holds a Master of Education from The College of New Jersey in Educational Leadership.

“Scott’s first hand knowledge of the students and staff at Auten Road Intermediate School will serve him well in his new position as the school’s vice principal,” stated Dr. Jorden Schiff, Superintendent of Schools. “His dedication to meeting the academic and emotional needs of his students will provide him with an excellent foundation from which to grow as an administrator in the district.”
