Hillsborough VFW Post 8371 Receive Starbucks Foundation Grant

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Hillsborough Post 8371 received a grant from the Starbucks Foundation to support local veterans and their families in Hillsborough, Montgomery, and Branchburg.

This grant will also strengthen community outreach efforts, including partnerships with local and VA food banks, the VFW Patriots’ Pen scholarship for 6th- to 8th-grade students, the Voice of Democracy scholarship for 9th- to 12th-grade students, and awards for Girl Scout Gold Award and Boy Scout Eagle Scout recipients.

We want to express our gratitude to our local Starbucks for nominating us for the Starbucks Foundation Neighborhood Grant. A special thanks to Rachel, Elaina, the Starbucks Site Manager, and all the Hillsborough Starbucks employees for their positive interactions with all veterans," said Mike Schraufnagel, Post 8371 Commander.
