Library's Summer Hours End Sept. 8

Attention: The Hillsborough Library will be CLOSED for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2.
We will be OPEN on SUNDAYS from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Sept. 8.

Change Someone's Life, Become a Literacy Tutor!
Interested in helping someone learn English? A “Tutor Information Session” will be offered at the Hillsborough Library at 7 p.m. Monday. Come and learn about Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County (LVSC) and their programs that help adults learn or improve their English literacy skills. LVSC is looking for volunteers to become tutors and will be offering a Tutor Training Class starting on Sept. 14. You can call LVSC at 908 724-5430 for more information.

Did you know that the Friends of the Hillsborough Library have daily book sales? DVDs, CDs and hardcover books are only $1. Paperbacks, records, children’s books and magazines are only 25 cents! VHS tapes are FREE! September Special: All Hardcover Books are 50 cents each!

Zumba – Sept. 4 and Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.
Zumba combines high energy music with unique moves and combinations that allow you to dance your way to a fitter you with exciting rhythms.  Join us for an energizing five week series.  As long as you are moving and having fun, there is no wrong way to Zumba! Wednesday 9/04, Tuesday 9/10, Wednesdays 9/18, 9/25, 10/02. Health Insurance 101 – Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
Katherine Woodfield Hermes, a Health Insurance Consumer Advocate will present a program for those interested in or confused by health care reform, insurance exchanges or The Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act. 
Friends of the Library Book Discussion – Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

This FREE Kaplan Practice Test is designed to prepare students for their PSAT exam and offers a great opportunity to get hands-on experience! Bring a #2 pencil, a calculator and a snack (if desired.)
