Lonegan, Booker Gain In Hillsborough

Township results mirror statewide tally.

Hillsborough primary voters fell in line with the state's results, with Republican Steve Lonegan and Democrat Cory Booker picking up the most votes Tuesday.

Lonegan won with 527 votes to Alieta Eck's 303 votes in the Republican primary, according to the unofficial tally. The 830 total votes represents 14.16 percent of the total of registered party members in Hillsborough.

On the Democratic side, Booker grabbed 501 votes, with Rush Holt getting 396, Frank Pallone 191, and Sheila Oliver 18.

The 1,126 Democratic votes represents 19.56 percent of the township's registered Democrats.
