Millstone River Road Accident Leads to Assault by Auto Charge
Police say Franklin man crossed center line and struck oncoming vehicle.
Douglas Molfetas, 26, of Franklin Township, was charged with assault by auto following an Oct. 18 accident on Millstone River Road, according to a story posted on MyCentralJersey.com.
The report says an affidavit filed in Superior Court says Molfetas caused the accident shortly after 1 a.m. Oct. 18 when the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line while traveling south on Millstone River Road, near Amsterdam Road, and struck a northbound vehicle. The affidavit reported Molfetas was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the article.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered shoulder and leg injuries.
