NJ Mom Accused Of Killing Kids To Remain Jailed: Report
Yuhwei Chou, the Somerset County mother accused of killing her two children, has been ordered to remain behind bars pending her trial.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Yuhwei Chou, the Somerset County mother accused of killing her two children, has been ordered to remain behind bars pending her trial, My Central Jersey recently reported.
Chou is charged with two counts of first-degree murder of her seven-year-old daughter, Samantha Ross and 10-month-old son, Paul Ross.
According to the newspaper, she appeared Tuesday before a superior court judge who ordered a no release and called the facts of the case "horrific."

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7:41 a.m., a 911 call reported a disabled motor vehicle that had left the roadway on Mountain View Road in Hillsborough.
Chou and two children were seen secured in a booster seat and a baby seat in the back seat of the vehicle, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.

Officers saw that the children were bound and restrained. No vital signs were present on the children and they were pronounced dead at the scene, Robertson added.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Chou admitted to planning the murders for over a week and used zip ties to bound the daughter's hands and duct-taped her face and her son's before suffocating them with her hands.
No motive has been given for the death of Chou's two children.
In New Jersey, the penalty for first-degree murder is 30 years to life in prison.
