Rush Hour Warning: Avoid Amwell, Woods Roads

Police issued a traffic warning Thursday afternoon urging drivers try to avoid the area around Amwell and Woods roads.

The notice said the ongoing construction near the intersection is limiting traffic to one lane--the work is expected to continue into the evening hours.

Possible alternatives are Hamilton Road, through Manville to Brooks Boulevard or Dukes Parkway, for those heading north. Southbound commuters will want to take River or Amsterdam roads.
